A six part lyrical exploration of Motherloss, Ancestry, Ritual and Mourning
Releasing weekly on Mondays, May 6th through June 10th
May we each get lyrical, embedded, embodied and vulnerable through works of art that propose our active mourning is not only possible, but a beautiful birthright of our human expression and belonging. I invite you to walk alongside me.
Each motif explores a tapestry which I am slowly weaving into the public sphere through writing, rituals and collective co~liberative space making. It’s a process! And a practice.

Please note to reader this exploration is tender and raw work and explicitly talks about and deals with death. Right alongside it you will find the many times overlooked/ and buried treasures we encounter as humans when we are in deepest communions with loss. I have found that active mourning is a portal to our essential humanity, it is our ancient blueprint in its most fundamental form, and is communally relevant for our sense of wholeness, and as such death, not suprisingly, is a threshold of belonging. Possibly you have discoverd this treasure and are holding it closer now that you’ve gone through the portal. Maybe you are in the midst and uncertain how to hold the feelings of loss. If you find this strange I encourage you to join me.
If there’s someone you know who might benefit or has curiousity in this sphere please feel free to share by forwarding this email or using the share button below.
By subscribing they will receive the 6 part micro-memoir directly to their inboxes to explore at a slow, inner pace. You can also forward individual releases as they feel relevant for you. My work is coming into connections by word of mouth and analog lanes (talking to folks irl!). I appreciate all of your support. I plan to build on these practices.
And lastly, it is not lost on me that this is releasing near Mother’s Day (and my Mom’s Birthday), thank you Mom.
Interestingly it simply arrived to do last month as I was finalizing my website and adding images to my Art section. No big plan or to do. I did the work, it showed back up. I believe when we are ready, there is someone else who is also ready to receive. Possibly that is you.
